Sherrod Small from "VH1's Best Week Ever" with Simply Chaos

Simply Chaos is the University of Pennsylvania's first and only stand-up comedy club. We perform at open mic events around campus, sponsored events, and produce our own show every semester. Auditions are traditionally held early in the Fall and Spring Semesters, but we welcome prospective stand-up's to email the group at scpresident@dolphin.upenn.edu.

Simply Chaos was founded by Avi Gilbert (2004) and Paul Braff (2004) in the spring of 2002. The idea came to Avi late one night, so he decided to write it down on a tissue box that was conveniently located near his bed. The next morning he told Paul about this revolutionary idea and the rest was history.

In the past, our members have performed with such comics as Damon Wayans, Dhat Phan, Bill Burr, Rich Vos, Greer Barnes, Christian Finnegan, Mike Birbiglia, Horatio Sanz, Keith Robinson, Marc Maron, Dan Naturman, Tracy Morgan, and Lisa Landry.
